Do I need an appointment?
Ve’Lace Bridal is a full service boutique and in order to provide the full experience we see our customers by appointment only. Assistance in choosing a gown requires our 100% full attention. When you book your bridal appointment, you reserve one of our two bridal suites and a personal stylist to assist you with finding your dream gown! Although we do welcome walk-ins, we do not recommend taking the trip to our store without calling ahead. If there is a suite with an available stylist, then we are happy to assist you. If not, you may have to wait for availability that day or be asked to book an appointment for another day. All bridal appointments are subject to a $50 appointment fee that will only be charged in the event of a no-show or cancellation within 24hrs of the scheduled appointment time.
What are your store policies and why?
Our store policies are set in place to protect the gowns and boutique while keeping our customers best interest at heart. First, photographs and cell phones are strictly prohibited in our bridal suite. The appointment will be ended if this policy is not respected. Ve’Lace Bridal is a proud member of the Bridal Industry against Piracy & Counterfeiting. Secondly, we do not rush our brides in making their very important decision, as a result, some brides need a little more time at the end of their appointment. This may cause a delayed start to your appointment. You will still receive your full appointment time however we ask that you prepare accordingly in case this should occur. Third, we ask that you not bring food into our boutique, help us keep our brides’ wedding dresses free from spills and stains. Lastly, during times of inclement weather, we might ask that your shoes be removed before entering the bridal suite. This will allow us to prevent our gowns from becoming wet or muddy.
Do you accommodate plus-size brides?
Absolutely! We have sold hundreds of plus-size gowns over the years! Sample sizes for our bridal, bridesmaids, and mother-of-the-bride/groom gowns range anywhere from size 8 to 28. Our plus-size selection includes A-lines, fit and flares, ball gowns, and sheaths. The gowns vary by designer.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We invite you to bring along any gown inspiration images you may have found: send a link to your Pinterest board, bring along magazine photos, etc. Although not required, it is always helpful for you to bring along a heel height that you might wear on the day of your wedding. This will assist you in determining the proper length option for your gown. We limit guests to 5 and invite you to bring along many of your bridal entourage. The number of guests will all depend on your personal comfort level. Remember, it’s your special day and should ultimately be what you want!
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Expect to be treated like a princess! When you arrive at Ve’Lace Bridal, your initial greeting will be your name on our outside sign welcoming you and your guests in! Once everyone is comfortable in our spacious bridal suite, your stylist will begin your consultation. As a full service salon, your bridal stylist will begin by asking you questions about your wedding and style. While you and your guests sip champagne and browse the collection in the bridal suite, your bridal stylist will be hand selecting wedding gowns for you to try on! We are experts in the bridal attire field and know exactly which gowns to access. Be prepared to find a gown you love because many Ve’Lace brides find their wedding gown during their first appointment! Our goal is to create a stress-free bridal experience.
I said Yes to the Dress, now what?
Now that you’ve said yes to the dress, it’s time we go over the sale together. For special orders, we will capture your measurements and make a size and length suggestion. We will verify the style, color, and any custom changes. We will also discuss next steps, review the sales agreement in detail, and go over everything we offer to help complete your entire look. We ask for invoices to be paid in full at the time of purchase.
What are the special order lead time requirements?
Bridal gowns take approximately 4-6 months for production while alterations will preferably begin 3 months before the wear date. Because of this, we suggest you shop 9 to 12 months before your wedding. Special occasion gowns take 3-4 months with alterations beginning 4-6 weeks before the wear date. Therefore, we suggest you ladies shop at least 6 months before the wedding. Special orders can sometimes be fulfilled through a gown that was recently cut and put into ‘hanging stock’ which means the special ordered gown will either ship immediately or prior to its original ship date. Many of our mothers of the bride/groom dresses have stock options as well. All ship dates are estimates and some designers offer rush delivery options. We require a minimum of 6 months advance notice to place a special order especially if the gown is not in stock or available for rush. With that said, all our gowns are available for off rack purchase and therefore we will assist you regardless of your wear date.
