Appointments & Scheduling

Do I Need an Appointment?

At Ve’Lace Bridal, we are a full-service boutique, and to provide you with the best possible experience, we see our brides by appointment only. Selecting your wedding gown is a special moment that deserves our full attention, and your appointment ensures just that. When you book a bridal appointment, you reserve one of our two private bridal suites and the undivided attention of a personal stylist who will guide you in finding your dream gown. While we do welcome walk-ins, we highly recommend calling ahead before making the trip. If a suite and stylist are available, we will gladly assist you. If not, you may need to wait for availability that day or schedule an appointment for another time. Please note: All bridal appointments are subject to a $75 appointment fee, which will only be charged in the event of a no-show or a cancellation within 48 hours of your scheduled time.

We invite you to bring along any gown inspiration you’ve gathered — whether it’s a link to your Pinterest board, magazine clippings, or photos you love. While not required, it’s also helpful to bring a pair of heels in the height you plan to wear on your wedding day. This can assist in determining the proper gown length. We kindly ask that you follow the guest limit per the appointment type you select, but encourage you to bring the people who mean the most to you. The number of guests is entirely up to your comfort level — remember, this is your special day, and it should be exactly the way you want it.

Expect to Be Treated Like a Princess! When you arrive at Ve’Lace Bridal, you’ll be greeted with a personal touch — your name on our welcome sign outside, celebrating you and your guests! Once everyone is settled into our spacious bridal suite, your stylist will begin a personalized consultation. As a full-service salon, your bridal stylist will ask about your wedding vision and personal style. While you and your guests enjoy our space and browse the collection, your stylist will be hand-selecting gowns for you to try on — drawing on expertise to find the perfect options for you. Be prepared to fall in love, as many Ve’Lace brides find their dream gown during their very first appointment! Our goal is to create a stress-free, memorable experience where you feel truly celebrated.

At Ve’Lace Bridal, we want you to feel comfortable and cared for throughout your entire appointment. While we are always happy to assist you in and out of gowns, we respect every bride’s privacy. If you prefer, you are more than welcome to change into the gowns on your own — your stylist will patiently wait outside the fitting room, and when you are ready, we’ll step in to help with zipping, clipping, and adjusting the gown for the perfect look. That said, please remember that — much like at a doctor’s appointment — working closely with women is part of our profession. We are a no-judgment zone, and our team is highly professional and experienced. We truly love to help, and since wedding gowns can be challenging to get in and out of, having an extra set of hands often makes the process easier, faster, and more enjoyable.

Store Policies & Experience

What are your store policies?

At Ve’Lace Bridal, our policies are designed to protect our gowns and boutique while keeping our customers’ best interests at heart. Appointment Timing We never rush our brides in making such an important decision. Occasionally, this means that an earlier appointment may run over, causing a delayed start for yours. Rest assured, you will still receive your full appointment time, but we encourage you to plan accordingly. Food & Beverages To help us keep our gowns pristine, we kindly ask that no food or drink other than water be brought into the boutique. This helps prevent spills and stains. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain the exceptional experience that every Ve’Lace bride deserves.

We believe in transparency and want you to feel fully informed and comfortable as you say yes to your gown. While the gown price is the main cost, there are a few additional fees that may apply, all of which help us provide a smooth, high-quality experience from purchase to pickup:

• Sales Tax The state of Massachusetts applies a luxury tax to wedding gowns. There is a $175 exemption, and the remaining balance is taxed at 6.25%.

• Amenities Fee ($20) This small fee helps cover the cost of your bridal gown garment bag as well as the shipping of your gown from the designer to our boutique—so your dress arrives safely and is beautifully protected.

• Credit Card Processing Fee (3%) A 3% fee applies to credit card payments. This fee may be avoided by paying with cash or check.

• Designer Tariffs (when applicable) Some designers apply a tariff due to international manufacturing and import costs. We only pass along this charge if it is applied by the designer, and because tariffs can change, this fee may vary. If you ever have questions about pricing or fees, we are always happy to walk you through everything—our goal is for you to feel confident, supported, and celebrated every step of the way.

To help protect our wedding gowns, we kindly ask all guests to either remove their shoes or wear a pair of disposable shoe booties that we provide upon arrival. Many of our gowns are displayed close to the floor, and some brides choose to purchase off the rack. This policy helps us keep every dress as clean, beautiful, and pristine as possible for each bride’s special moment. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us care for our gowns!

Dress Selection & Sizing

Do you offer plus-size wedding gowns?

Absolutely! We are proud to have helped hundreds of brides find their perfect plus-size gown. Our curvy sizes for bridal, bridesmaids, and mother-of-the-bride/groom gowns range anywhere from size 18 to 28. We created The Curve Collection Appointment in response to the many calls we receive asking if we carry plus sizes. The answer is yes — we absolutely do, and we can’t wait to help you find the gown that makes you feel confident, radiant, and truly beautiful. Our plus-size collection features a variety of styles — including A-lines, fit-and-flares, ball gowns, and sheaths — with options varying by designer.

Orders & Timelines

I said Yes to the Dress, now what?

Congratulations! Now that you’ve said yes to your dream dress, we’ll walk through the next steps together. For special orders, we’ll take your measurements and make recommendations for size and length. We’ll confirm the style, color, and any custom changes, then review your sales agreement in detail. We’ll also discuss everything we offer to help you complete your entire bridal look. Please note: Invoices are paid in full at the time of purchase but payment plans are available.

Bridal gowns take approximately 4–6 months for production, and alterations should ideally begin 3 months before your wear date. For this reason, we recommend shopping 9–12 months before your wedding. Special occasion gowns (including mothers of the bride/groom) take about 3–4 months for production, with alterations beginning 4–6 weeks before the wear date. We suggest shopping for these gowns at least 6 months before the event. In some cases, special orders can be fulfilled more quickly if the gown is part of the designer’s “hanging stock”—meaning it has already been produced and can ship immediately or ahead of the normal timeline. Many of our mothers’ gowns also have stock options available. Please note: All ship dates are estimates, and some designers offer rush delivery options. We typically require a minimum of 6 months’ notice to place a special order, especially if the gown is not in stock or available for rush. That said, most of our gowns are available for off-the-rack purchase, and we will gladly assist you—no matter your wear date.

At Ve’Lace Bridal, we proudly specialize in out-of-state and destination weddings. Many of our brides travel for their big day, and we make sure getting your dress there is simple, stress-free, and safe. Whether your gown is a ball gown or a sheath, we are highly skilled in compactly packing wedding dresses for travel. Honestly, we should show you our talent someday — we’ve been known to fit a full bridal gown into a small carry-on! We professionally fold and pack your gown with care, using proven techniques that protect the fabric, structure, and details — all while keeping it airline-friendly. This service is included at no extra cost for our brides. Minor wrinkles can happen during travel, but they are completely normal and easily released once you arrive. We’ll give you guidance on the best way to hang and freshen your gown at your destination.
