Some helpful tips on how to know when to stop and say YES!

1. Is there anything about the gown you DON’T like?

Take a good long look at yourself in the mirror. If you can’t find anything you want to change about the dress then this is a really good indication that’s it’s the one! However, if you’re thinking adding a strap or more bling, remember there are custom changes that can be done. We are talking about whether or not you can find major dislikes in the gown such as the silhouette, the fabric, or the pattern! If you LOVE these main elements about the dress and love yourself in it then don’t be afraid to say YES!

2. Can you envision yourself in the gown on your wedding day?
Again, take a good long look at yourself in the mirror. Let the consultant provide you with props to help you envision. This includes a bouquet, a veil or headpiece, and the right lighting. It is our job to help you vision what you’ll look like on your special day. After we “doll” you up, you’ll know if you can see yourself walking down the aisle in the dress.

          A feeling of nervousness on saying YES to the dress could come from not feeling like you’ve tried enough styles or silhouettes. If you have already visited other stores and narrowed it down to a specific style then you can feel confident that it is “the one”. However, if Ve’Lace Bridal was your first and only stop then it is our job to ensure that you’ve tried all styles, fabrics, and silhouettes. We allow enough time in an appointment to cover the styles and we pay attention to making sure you are fulfilled!
Yes, it is possible to find your dream dress at your very first bridal gown visit. It happens for brides all the time! Finding your dream dress does not necessarily mean that you are required to visit multiple stores. That’s what your bridal consultant is for! Speaking of which, it is our job to make it easy for you to find your dream dress. We are very knowledgeable when it comes to wedding gowns, it’s our profession. So yes, it can be easy! Trying on more gowns is a must and that’s what we plan on helping you with. A bridal appointment at Ve’Lace covers a ton of styles but once you’ve found “the one” there really is no need to try on others. Although it feels very final when committing to ‘the dress’, remember this is just the beginning. There’s much more planning to do for the wedding.
